Inspired by Africa, The Africa Channel shows bold, high quality programming from a range of genres, including award-winning documentaries, live news, films, music, high-profile sporting events and drama. It is available in the Uk and Ireland on Sky Channel 268.

This spring, the Africa Channel’s highlights include the final of Face of Africa in a Next Top Model style competition where models compete to become the next catwalk sensation. All the weeks of pouting and posing come to a climatic end on the 13th of March at 8pm.

Uniquely, the Africa Channel provides live news daily from the continent with a fresh perspective on African issues with eNews Africa every day at 7pm.

Thought-provoking films screen every Saturday night at 9pm from Mahamet-Saleh Haroun’s Cannes award winner Daratt to one of the first films from the Central African Republic Silence of the Forest.

Fascinating documentaries following African history Project Mandela and RFK in the Land of Apartheid appear on the channel as well as inspiring individuals such as Kofi Annan and Solomon Plaajte.

April brings a whole new season of Wildlife programmes including Modern Migrations, Dangerous Trails and Nature of Life all exploring Africa’s vast natural environment.
